PSNStores Weekly Roundup: April 22nd – 28th 2013

Posted by on April 28th, 2013 | 0 Comments | Tags:

This week I dived back into the classic 8-bit era and finished up my adventures in the Dragon Fantasy universe (that is until Book II is released this summer). You will be able to read my thoughts on the game soon but any fan of classic RPG’s should definitely give it a try. Besides battling monsters in the fantasy world of Westeria I have been playing a game about friendship and jumping, as the third title in this year’s fantastic Spring Fever campaign, Thomas was Alone, was released. You can find out more about this puzzle game in Chris’ review where he stated “Thomas Was Alone shows that good writing can transform even the simplest games into something impactful.”

If words aren’t enough we also have a Gameplay Glimpse of the game and DLC and Ben’s thoughts on why Thomas is a great fit for the Vita. If narrated puzzle games staring shapes isn’t your thing this weeks update also seen the release of Draw Slasher, a 2D sidecroller hack and slash played using the Vita’s touchscreen. Check out Nick’s review and hands on video of the game to see if it’s something you should drop $6 on. Fans of PSM might have noticed a lack of releases lately, but the drought has final stopped with 12(!) titles released this week including the puzzle game brg. From first glance this unique game might seem a bit confusing but luckily we had the chance to talk to Kay Hermann about the game and why PSM was chosen as the platform to bring it to.

I want to finish off this weeks Roundup with a couple of administration things. First, you might have noticed a couple of different names amongst the normal crew on some of the posts this week. I would like to take the opportunity to welcome Jonathan (@IMissBionix) to the PSNStores team and Vivas (@VivasKaul) back to the site! Secondly, we know by your comments and the statistics that you guys and gals enjoy the video content that we provide here on PSNStores and we would like to be able to offer you more, especially in the PSM category. Unfortunately with the lack of video out on the Vita we have to go to an outside source to get the ability to do video capture without our fingers getting in the way of the action, and this option isn’t the cheapest. If this is something you would like to give us a hand with getting (and a very big Thank You to you if it is), head on over to our donation page for all the details and instructions on how to donate.
