Blue Skies (v1.01) – Trying to get patch notes

  • Tom Morrison

thanks for this list!(-: lots of new titles this week after a drought.

  • http://twitter.com/shelfcompact shelfcompact

    Floodgates opened again.

    • Chris

Yea it seems Sony needed to release the new Runtime library before any of these titles could be published

  • http://twitter.com/DevinTHudson Devin Hudson

I wonder how that one puzzle game that has a name that’s not even remotely similar to the name of another popular puzzle game series plays.

  • slicer4ever

my games visualize and lumnis have been waiting since the start of april to get onto the store.

    • Chris

did you use the 1.11 sdk? The runtime library only got released this week for end users

    • slicer4ever

yea, i know about the delay, the only reason both games were using 1.11 was because they forced users to submit with 1.11 after some point in late march(i’d have to look up the exact date), however they were both pretty much finished by mid-march, but got denied a couple times..

Hi Chris, thanks very much for coverage! It’s nice to see a decent number of titles going up on the store this week, given the recent drought. Particularly liking the look of ’16-bit Trader’.

    16 bit Trader sounds interesting.

Why do these Japanese-only PSM games have such scary artwork? My opinion of course.

  • Brian Chase

Hey guys, when I attempt to open PSM it tells me an update is needed but upon updating it repeatedly tells me that the update failed. Does anyone know a way around this? I’ve tried uninstalling and downloading the newest version as well.

    • Andrew

Ive had similar problems with updating Vita apps, but not with PSM. Never really came across a fix, I just kept on trying till finally it worked.

Powering off your Vita for a couple of minutes seems to also fix problems when things screw up. Have you tried that?

    • Brian Chase

Ahh, I should have mentioned I’m on the Xperia Play. Please do let me know if you are familiar with this issue though as I have still not found a fix. I wonder if this problem is more wide-spread but simply ignored because of the poor response (and in some cases rightfully so) to the PSM platform on mobile phones.

    • Chris

Ah I see. I haven’t had any issues with my Tablet S. Worst case would be totally deleting the PSM app and reinstalling right? I assume you tried that.

    • Brian Chase

Yup, oh well. I guess I’ll try the next revision. I was always a big supporter of PSM and wrote a lot of reviews over on the Xperia Play XDA forum but this is beyond dropping the ball in my opinion and I don’t know if I can further support the medium.

    • Brian Chase

Thanks again for the advice and support though guys, I’ve always enjoyed your coverage of PSM

  • Nexus Prime

There’s a Barbapapa game? I remember watching this years and years ago. I forgot all about it until now.

  • Aristides

I wish the JPN only titles would get released in the US, some have really cool artwork. As for the rest… OMG rushcat!!! that’s the cutest thing ever I’m buying it now!!! <3

    • Aristides

Just played it, it’s a fun time waster, it could use a bare bones story but at least it’s fun :3

  • Guest

The Japanese diet thing is an app, based on the settings screen containing input fields for current height, target weight, [diet] duration, security, etc. Mogumi (a pun on the “mogu” onomatopoeic eating sound and the female name “Megumi”) seems to be just a mascot. Do you have any way of posting the actual Japanese titles to these Japan-only releases?

  • Michael

I wish somebody will make a calendar for ps vita
