PSNStores Weekly Roundup: August 19th – 25th 2013

The first week of the PS Vita Summer Select promotion kicked off this week with the long awaited Divekick, which I am happy to say is as fun as we all hoped it would be. Check out our review from the worlds best Dr. Shoals players (aka Chris K) to see what makes the game so good. Besides diving and kicking I managed to finally play through the 400 Days DLC for The Walking Dead, which just has me super pumped for season 2, and finished up Draw Slasher and Flying Hamster HD on the Vita. Of course I also put a wealth of time into the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! table in the Pinball Arcade for the fourth week of our Pinball Tournament. If you are participating make sure to check out the player standings to see how  you did and get ready to dive into the Star Trek: The Next Generation table this week.

Of course the big news this week happened in Cologne Germany at GamesCom 2013 where Sony finally announced that the PS4 will be hitting North America on November 15th and in Europe on November 29th. But that is not all that came out of GamesCom as a whole myriad of titles where announced for PSN on PS3, PS4, and Vita including: Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, Rime, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Little Big Planet Hub, MineCraft, Rogue Legacy, Starbound, N++, Helldivers, and RESOGUN.  Two games I am personally excited for Switch Galaxy Ultra, an updated PS4/Vita version of the PSM title Switch Galaxy, and Velocity 2X, a sequel to Velocity and Velocity Ultra, also got announced at GamesCom and we have all the latest info on the titles straight from the developers themselves. Check out our Q&A’s with Gary Nichols of Atomicom about Switch Galaxy Ultra and James Marsden of FuturLab about Velocity 2X. That’s a lot of awesome to look forward to so make sure you keep your eyes on PSNStores.com as we will have more about all these titles as they get closer to release.
