Rogue Legacy coming to PS4, PS3 and PSVita
If you listen to the podcast or follow me on twitter you’ll have heard all about Rogue Legacy at this point. Today Sony announced that it’ll be coming to PS4, PS3 and PSVita sometime next year which naturally made me a very happy person.
Rogue Legacy revolves around the idea of perma-death and inheritance. In the game you’ll take control of a male or female adventure with a randomly generated class and trait. For example you could be a barbarian who is a giant, or perhaps a spelunker who is near-sighted. With every death you take on the role of one of three descendants who also are given a random class and trait. Some traits don’t change things too drastically while others can prove beneficial to you. While death means that you have to restart from the beginning of the castle you don’t lose your progression. The castle will change (unless you lock it down a turn) but you’ll still have any stat increases you’ve purchased.
Rogue Legacy came out on PC back in June and it’s ate a lot of time out of my schedule. The game will hit PlayStation platforms sometime in 2014.
