PSNStores Weekly Roundup: December 10th – 16th 2012

With the holiday season quickly approaching much of my time this week was spent preparing for the occasion, but of course I sneaked in some time to catch an opening showing of The Hobbit in IMAX 3D on Wednesday (which also corresponded with my first time of standing in line for hours to see a movie) and thankfully in my opinion was well worth it. My Vita also saw plenty of play this week with not only more DJMax Technika Tune and Uncharted: Fight for Fortune but also with FuturLab’s newest PSM title Surge, which offers a unique take on the block matching  puzzle game that is quite addictive.

In other FuturLab News they have signed a great deal with Sony that will see them developing full fledged Vita titles with the first (according to this teaser site) looking to be a port of their fantastic Mini’s title Velocity. While I am definitely looking forward to playing Velocity again what really excites me is wondering what they will be coming up with next.

While the store updates may be winding down for the year there are still plenty of games coming this week in NA including Labyrinth Legends, Knytt Underground (#YOPO), I’m Gonna Be God of The Forest and the Vita port of Oddworld Strangers Wrath. If you live in Europe you get an extra dose of odd this week with Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD  also being released along with Flying Hamster HD, the HD version of  The Game Atelier’s SHMUP Mini title from 2010. I ended off last weeks Weekly Roundup talking about the final leg of the Sportsfriends Kickstarter and I am ending off this weeks happily saying that they met their goal! So you can look forward to playing these multiplayer offerings when the games launch in the fall of 2013. I am already in the process of rounding up Move controllers for an epic game of Joust.
