Funimation Video App Now Available On PS3, Coming Soon To PS4

We got a surprise with tonight’s PlayStation Store update, anime distributor Funimation Entertainment finally released their first video app on PlayStation hardware. The app is a free download (though a subscription is required) on PS3 and allows users to watch series like Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, Tokyo Ghoul, and many more with both English and Japanese audio options. The app also supports While the current build is a bit bare in terms of options, an update that supports Search and Queue will be added early in 2015, along with a version of the app for PlayStation 4.
