Rise From Your Digital Grave: Kyuin, Magical Drop F + Other PSone Archives Return To PSN In Japan

Posted by on October 22nd, 2014 | 6 Comments | Tags: ,

Hamster announced that 10 of their PSone Archives releases have returned to the PlayStation Store in Japan after a two year hiatus. Back in August of 2012, various Hamster and Monkey Paw published PSone titles were delisted from both the Japanese and North American stores. Unlike most removals, the ability to download the content through the PSN download list was not available.

The titles reinstated are:

All are playable on PSP, PS Vita and PS3.

Interestingly, the games are listed under the date they originally launched on PSN, though the user ratings have been reset. Presumably that allows older purchases to become valid again.

While the games have returned to Japan, there’s been no announcements regarding the status of the North American removals.

Magical Drop and Outlaws never got delisted on the American store as far as I know. But if they did, they’re back up now. Magical Drop F is still gone though.

Yeah, sorry about that. Apparently NA lost 5 games while Japan lost 10.

Looking forward to the future where that says, “All are playable on PSP, PS Vita, PS3 and PS4.” (Or “PS Family” for short).
