Abstraction Games’ Vita port of Gunslugs now has a release date

Orangepixel is an indie dev with a stable of several well established mobile games on Android and iOS.  Thanks to Sony and Abstraction Games, Gunslugs will be coming to PlayStation Vita on February 11th in North America and 12th in Europe.

Quality developers can build quite the following through today’s mobile platforms. Sony has been working tirelessly to build a sturdy bridge for those developers to cross and get their wares onto PlayStation platforms like PSM, Vita, PS3, and PS4.

I have on occasion sought out the attention of mobile game developers, such as Pascal Bestebroer from Orangepixel, and told them how awesome their game would be on Vita or PS3. In a way, I take full responsibility in the event that Gunslugs doesn’t sell well. Just kidding. Seriously though, it will be great.

Pascal tells me that his more recent game, Heroes of Loot, is next to come to Vita with a planned release later this year. Heroes of Loot is an award-winning roguelike dungeon crawler that shares in the same old school pixel look of Gunslugs. It “walks a fine line between dungeon crawler and shoot’em up.”
