PSN Store To Be Back By Week’s End

This is the moment we have all been waiting for… if you live in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia*. Had to use that asterisk so readers in Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea don’t get excited. The PlayStation Store will be back by just in time for E3, and as of yet we are unaware of what content will go live. We can assume such titles as Under Siege, Outland and Gatling Gears should be hitting the check-out lines first.

“We have been conducting additional testing and further security verification of our commerce functions in order to bring the PlayStation Network completely back online so that our fans can again enjoy the first class entertainment experience they have come to love,” said Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation. “We appreciate the patience and support shown during this time.”

The Welcome Back packages should be ready by this time as well, so be sure to check out what you can grab as a freebie. And yes, this means we can finally get back to reviewing some new games!

I think I am looking forward to not playing the shitty games that have collected dust in our review queue for nearly a year. Gotta give my PSP a break… Can’t wait to slap on some American Flag pants and go on some Fancy Adventures.
