Hard Corps: Uprising looks to be coming along nicely.  ARC System Works (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Battle Fantasia) blows a breath of fresh air into the run-and-gun side scrolling genre with its signature jaw-dropping art style.  The game openly pays homage to Konami’s run-and-guns of old (see: image 3) while adding a few new features to spice things up a bit.  I have faith that the 2.5D graphics will look great in motion, given ARC’s past works.  The game includes both online and local cooperative play, and a “RISING mode”, which allows you to purchase items and upgrades in order to build your character up throughout the game.  I missed the Matt Hazard bus, so I’m definitely looking forward to this one.
