505 Games Acquires Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons IP from Starbreeze

Starbreeze, developers of Syndicate and Payday, have announced they have sold the game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons IP, to 505 Games for $500,000. Starbreeze also mentions that the game has sold over 800,000 copies to date.
CEO of Starbreeze, Bo Andersson Klint, mentions, “The sale represents our final transition to the digital strategy. With ‘Brothers’ we’ve created a strong and critically acclaimed IP, which we now feel can be best nurtured under a new owner.”
Meanwhile, Ian Howe, President of 505 Games, said, “This acquisition reflects 505 Games’ stated strategy of owning and controlling its own IP, and, moreover, IP that can contribute something meaningful to the world of interactive entertainment.”
