Marvel vs. Capcom Origins Gets Removed From PSN Next Week

Completing what began last year, Capcom announced today that Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will be delisted from PSN next week. The compilation contained two 1990s fighters, Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, with upgraded visuals, online play, challenges, and unlockables. The bundle was released in September 2012 on PS3, and now it appears Capcom’s license with Marvel has expired. Origins will no longer be available for purchase globally following the PlayStation Store update on December 23rd.

Those interested in buying the game before it’s too late can do so here: North America | Europe

Users that purchased the previously removed Marvel vs. Capcom content still had access to online features, as well as the ability to re-download content from their download list. While Capcom hasn’t stated that will be the case for Origins, I imagine it will be.
