EVE: Valkyrie brings virtual reality dogfighting to PlayStation 4
GDC 2014 just started, but one of the early standouts appears to be virtual reality technology. Last night Sony announced their foray into the VR headset realm with Project Morpheus for PS4. Developers at the conference can use the prototype to run through a handful of demos, one of which is for CCP’s EVE: Valkyrie. Originally announced as an Oculus Rift exclusive, not much is known about this multiplayer shooter set in the EVE universe. What we do know is that it’s being designed specifically for virtual reality tech, and is planned for a launch in 2014.
