A year ago, Robin lost her memory in a tragic accident. As she rediscovers herself and the world, she slowly learns more about her bloody past, the mysteries of Asura, and a twisted tale of betrayal and murder.

Ash Monif , Co-founder of indie developer Grimm Bros, jumped onto the PlayStation Blog to talk about Dragon Fin Soup coming to PlayStation 3, 4 and Vita in 2014. The game is a gorgeous looking roguelike RPG with a world inspired by fantasy and fairy tales.

It is said to feature two game modes: Story mode and Survival mode. While the Story mode will deliver the expected engaging tale of one of the games main characters Red Robin and her twisted past, the Survival mode will have that roguelike element oozing out and features permanent death…to your character of course!

If you enjoyed Shiren, Chocobo’s Dungeon, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy Tactics or even XCOM, you may enjoy Dragon Fin Soup. All of those games were mentioned where Monif attempted to describe the gameplay. He clarifies by saying Dragon Fin Soup “is a turn-based game” — “where foes take their turn simultaneously with the player, allowing for more dynamic and fast-paced gameplay.”
