Skydive: Proximity Flight has been announced as a base jumping wingsuit flying action racing game that supports PlayStation Move. That’s right, if I can ever find my second Move controller, I can stand up in front of my PSEye and feel the same adrenaline as Jokke Sommer, Andrey Boldyrev, and Halvor Angvik!
The game also supports use of the DualShock 3’s gyroscope, so you can twist and turn your way through snow-capped mountains and verdant plains.
The three game modes announced include:
Adrenaline Race – Race against the computer, friends, or go for leaderboard high scores. Perform tricks to fill adrenaline gauge, which can be used to increase speed or rewind time.
Routes: Can be seen in some of the screenshots, try to fly through glowing rings.
Tricks: Execute tricks… in the air.
Freestyle: Select a jump off location and create your own routes. You can then share your route with the community, challenging others to a game of flying HORSE.
I’m actually pretty stoked for this game. Alternative sports games like Greg Hastings Paintball 2 are great. Skydive looks a lot like SkyDrift, which I was also very fond of. Looking forward to this thrill ride come fall. Get it? Fall.
