Galak-Z: The Dimensional Announcement Trailer

We previously talked a little about Galak-Z in our huge post about all the downloadable games coming to PS4. Now we have an actual trailer to show besides just a few really cool gifs.

Galak-Z is being developed by 17-BIT Games who have previously released Skulls of the Shogun on XBLA, Windows 8 and Steam. Galak-Z is heavily inspired by Macross and Star Blazers with the game presenting itself as if it was an ’80s anime. The game presents vasts reaches of space to explore as well as various caves and other areas that present a more focused approach to level design. Apart from exploration the battles in Galak-Z also aim to always feel different every time. The enemy AI will take cover, team up with others, call for backup or even flee if they’re not doing so well. In addition to the ’80s anime theme enemy icons will appear on screen and engage you in dialog with the aim of making each encounter feel more real rater than ‘just another enemy ship’.

At any rate be sure to check out the first official trailer above and let us know what you think. Hopefully we’ll see more of the game very soon.
