Curve Announces Focus on PlayStation 4 Next Generation

You might know the independent developer and publisher Curve through games like Fluidity and the upcoming Stealth Inc. A Clone in the Dark. You might also know them from their help with bringing indie games such as Thomas Was Alone and the upcoming Lone Survivor to the PS3 and PS Vita. Today Curve has announced a continuing focus with the PlayStation brand as we move closer to the release of the PS4 this Holiday.

In addition to this announcement Curve is set to continue offering services to other independent developers in helping to bring more games to the PlayStation platform.

Jason Perkins said: “Sony’s show of support for developers, including showing independent releases not only front and centre on their storefront but also during the PlayStation 4 reveal is creating a more open, co-operative market for independent games to enter the living room on a level playing field.”

Curve states that it can deal with submission deadlines and PR allowing the developer to focus on making the game itself. This news of course comes in the midst of many other independent developers expressing how pleased they are with the PlayStation platform and how Sony has treated independent developers.

  • So, this is pretty much one little guy helping other little guys?

Curve, if you’re listening guys (and Sony too for that matter), if there’s a small handful of genuine indie gems that utterly *belong* on Playstation Vita, it’s these:

    Braid
    Don’t Starve
    Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
    Super Meat Boy
    VVVVVV
    World of Goo

This ‘sexy six’ simply must find their way to Vita!
