Two of our favorite minis titles are going to be making their way to Vita. Dakko Dakko announced today that both The Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character and Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims! are going to be remastered for the Vita with a few added perks.

Besides the basic upgrades to visuals both games will see their soundtracks remastered, PSN trophies, gameplay fine-tuning and more. The HD Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character will see online leaderboards added for its challenge mode, while Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims in HD! will have back-touch support.

Dan Croucher, producer, Dakko Dakko, said: “All in all, these will be the definitive versions of Dakko Dakko’s first two games.” While SCEE’s Senior Business Development Manager Shahid Ahmad had the following to say: “We are delighted to be welcoming these beautiful and charming titles to PS Vita. The Dakko Dakko team has consistently impressed us with their creative flair and vision and we’re excited about their approach in remastering the HD Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character and Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims in HD! for their new home on PS Vita.”

Look for more information as we get closer to both game’s release this summer.

I loved Floating Cloud God. This resurgence of minis-to-Vita ports are marking the end of minis I think.

I hope to see more Minis reworked for Vita. I think they’ll finally be able to get their time to shine with native Vita versions. Still waiting on Flying Hamster HD in North America though. ):
