Goodness me. When Hello Games said that Joe Danger 2 The Movie was coming to PSN soon, I didn’t expect it to be quite so soon. But, I’m all for pleasant surprises, and none is more pleasant than learning that Joe Danger 2 will be launching on PSN in the US on Tuesday Oct 9th for $14.99 and in Europe on Oct 10th for £9.99.

Hello Games mentioned extra content for PS3 players, and today they revealed exactly what that content is. Called “Joe Danger Gaiden”, this collection of levels is best described by Hello Games’ Sean Murray;

It’s actually a throwback to when we made the original Joe Danger, as four guys sat in a room playing our own game, we fell into that classic trap of playing our own game too much. Our first prototype was this very tight, very challenging game that took about 10 hours to complete. No tutorials, no handholding, just fun arcade gameplay. Our friends loved it, but only the most skilled players could master it. Actually, if I remember right, none of us were able to complete it.

A collection of levels so hard, that even the developers struggled to play through to the end of it? That sounds like exactly what the doctor ordered. Of course, the PS3 version has improvements based on feedback from 360 players, along with awesome features like YouTube uploading and custom soundtracks. Gosh Hello Games know how to make people happy. Joe Danger 2 is out next week.
