Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Gets A Tower-Defense Twist

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault was announced just before E3 with very little information other than the fact that the game would be returning to the core gameplay of the series. What we didn’t know is that this time the game is coming with a tower-defense twist.

Full Frontal Assault will allow you and a buddy (both locally and online) to play as either Ratchet, Clank or Captain Qwark and take on waves of aliens across five different levels on three separate planets. Naturally along with the usual gameplay you’ve come to expect from a Ratchet game the tower-defense side of things will allow you to build up and defend a specific base. The game promises to have numerous unlockables and character skins as well as a yet to be revealed online mode that will offer ‘a ton of reasons to keep playing’.

Full Frontal Assault is in development by the North Carolina branch of Insomniac Games and is scheduled to hit PSN sometime this fall. The game will feature a story mode with a new villain and can be played in single player.
