GTA 3 On PS2 Classics Delayed Due To Music Licensing

Many were looking forward to the release of GTA 3 on the PlayStation Store today, however when the store published it was missing in action. At the top of the PlayStation Blog post for this week offered a little insight stating:
”Due to an unforeseen complication, the Grand Theft Auto III PS2 Classic is not publishing with today’s Store post. We will update you when a new release date has been identified. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
We have since learned that it was pulled due to a music licensing issue. PSN Community Manager Morgan Haro posted on NeoGAF today that a song was found at the last minute that wasn’t cleared for use. Rockstar Games is currently working with Sony to get the game up on PSN as soon as possible.
