There have been ESRB leaks about this so it may not be a surprise, but today it is official. Dreamcast games will be making their way to PSN. These will however be different from the PSone classics that are on the store now. Each game will be redone with surround sound and high resolution visuals. There will also be trophies and online leaderboards.

The first two classics to come out will be Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi. From looking at the press release it seems that the first release will coincide with the 11th aniversary of the Dreamcast launch.

“The Dreamcast is fondly remembered by a large community of dedicated fans as a console that was ahead of its time in terms of graphics, quality and online gaming” commented Haruki Satomi, VP of Digital Business at SEGA of America and SEGA Europe. “There are few things that are more requested from us than making Dreamcast classics available for download in today’s digital market place. We’re very excited to begin offering gamers our beloved Dreamcast titles again on the current console systems.”

So what games would you like to see? I am guessing Shenmue is at the top.
