Arrowhead Game Studios has announced that Gauntlet: Slayer Edition will be coming to PS4 later this summer. Gauntlet is a four-player co-op action brawler featuring four distinct heroes.

The levels are a mix of built levels from the developers and randomly generated levels. Arrowhead Game Studios assures fans that this will not be a straight port. This time, the developers want to flesh out each hero’s backstory, and give these heroes more abilities to use in combat.

Yyyeeeeeah, I guess I’m in. I replayed Gauntlet Legends on 64 about a year ago and it wasn’t quite as mesmerizing as I remembered it to be. I was hesitantly interested in this one when it was initially announced.

I have mixed feelings about getting ports of games that have been out on other consoles/PC for a while. Oh well.

I read on Gamestop’s site that this game will cost $60? WTF? If it were $15 or even $20, I’d bite. But $60 on a PSN game? Forget this crap. I hope that was just a place holder.
