In a unique way to announce a video game, Dean Dodrill of Crumble Hearts announced that Dust: An Elysian Tail would be heading to PS4 through a PlayStation Blog post written in-character by the game’s co-star, Fidget. The Nimbat described Dust as the following:

“Imagine a 2D side-scrolling platformer, with crazy-fast swordplay and screen-clearing MAGIC supplied by yours truly. There are power-ups! Special abilities! Hidden passages! A whole world of STUFF to find! Main quests! Side quests! We’ve even got a quest where you can choose to put poison ivy into some jerk’s laundry! I KNOW! It’s magical! Let’s poison his laundry TOGETHER!

Fidget also goes on to say that the game features hand-drawn imagery meant to be reminiscent of animated films from the 80s and 90s. On PlayStation 4 you can expect 1080p visuals and a frame rate of 60.

Dust: An Elysian Tail previously launched on Xbox 360/PC to both critical and commercial success. You can expect to see the game on PS4 “REALLY REALLY SOON!”

Those interested in a PS Vita version should take note of the comments section on the blog. Dodrill hopes to have some good news regarding a Vita version soon.
