R-Type Dimensions Releasing May 20th on PS3

Bringing together R-Type and R-Type II, R-Type Dimensions combines two fully remastered shoot ’em up classics with new music and features. The first R-Type includes 8 original levels while R-Type II has 6 original levels with a new updated look.

Developer Tozai Games has also included an option to switch between 2D or 3D graphics, plus the ability to play the classic versions. Tozai has also added two new game modes in the way of an infinite mode, and a level select option so players can learn the levels to even greater detail. Local co-op, worldwide leaderboards, player stats, a slow motion play function and trophies are also included.

R-Type Dimensions will be releasing on May 20th on the PlayStation Store. No price has been announced but expect it to be in the $10-$15 range.
