Die Gute Fabrik has revealed the release date and price for Sportsfriends. The compilation of Super Pole Riders, BaraBariBall, Hokra and Johann Sebastian Joust will run you $14.99/€13.99 on PS3 or PS4. The release will support Cross-Buy, but only if you buy it on PS3. Sportsfriends launches on May 6th in North America, with a European release following the next day.

As the launch trailer demonstrates, the four games in Sportsfriends are designed around local multiplayer gaming. All of the games feature a wide variety of modes and gameplay settings, alongside what the developers are calling the weirdest trophies on the PlayStation Network. In case you’re wondering, each title in Sportsfriends supports DualShock 3, and DualShock 4 controllers.

One of the titles getting the most buzz is Johann Sebastian Joust. It’s kind of a hard game to explain in words, and I’m not entirely sure if it counts as a video game. I’d describe it as tag with video game controllers. This game has some differences between the PS3, and PS4 versions. PS3 users will be able to play with up to seven players and it also allows them to load their own music files into the game. On PS4 the game will take advantage of the DualShock 4’s LED and speakers, but will be limited to four players. Both versions are compatible with PlayStation Move.
