Announcing Earthlock: Festival of Magic coming to PlayStation 4 in Q2 2015
A press release from Snowcastle Games has revealed that they have received developer approvals to bring Earthlock: Festival of Magic to PS4. Development of the game will first be completed on the PC and Mac versions for a first quarter 2015 release, with current-gen home consoles including the PS4 to follow shortly thereafter.
Earthlock: FoM is an homage to classic turn-based Japanese RPGs and features an extensive list of well known gameplay attributes, but what sets it apart is more interesting. Players must grow and harvest their own death-dealing ammo from the safety of their own island. The game is set in the world of Umbra, a planet that has ceased to spin and an impending conflict threatens a desert scavenger named Amon.
There is a lot of information to take in from the Kickstarter page alone, currently running with 32 days left to acquire approximately $110k additional funding toward their goal of $150k. The entire game appears to be a three volume deal, with the Volume 1 out this year and each additional volume to release every 12 months. Take a look and let us know what you think of all these RPGs coming to PlayStation consoles in 2014 and beyond.
