[Updated] Could The Unfinished Swan and Journey be coming to the PS4?

Update: After receiving questions from people asking if those pictures were of PS4 versions of Journey and The Unfinished Swan Nathan posted a clarification on Twitter:

Lots of people asking so I’ll clarify. Was nostalgic playing the PS4 versions of the games so I busted out the PS3 to replay some others.

So it was flOw, Flower, and Escape Plan on the PS4-all looking, sounding, and playing great. Journey and Swan on PS3 both still fantastic.

So as of now it looks like The Unfinished Swan and Journey will continuing to be only on PS3.

Back in mid October Sony announced that four first party digital titles from SCE Santa Monica Studios would be making the jump from the PS3/Vita to the PS4: Flower and Sound Shapes for the PS4 launch on November 15th, Flow and Escape Plan a little later in November on the 29th. It was also announced that Flower and Flow would be making their debut on the Vita at the same time.

Exciting news for some of this generations most impressive and innovative first party titles on PSN especially since they are Cross-Buy enabled, meaning that if you have already purchased one of these titles in the past you will be automatically entitled to the PS4 and Vita versions for free when they launch. But you might have noticed that a couple of the big hits from Santa Monica were missing from that announcement, mainly Journey and The Unfinished Swan from thatgamecompany and Giant Sparrow respectively.

While its still up in the air if these titles will be coming to the PS4 for certain it’s looking more likely as Nathan Gary, Creative Director of Sony Santa Monica, took to his twitter account to show off some pictures of Flower, Flow, and Escape Plan running on a PS4 followed by pictures of The Unfinished Swan and Journey:

This is clearly far from a confirmation and we will have to wait for an official announcement from Sony but this seems like a pretty big hint that they will releasing the two titles on the PS4 in the future.
