Contrast Backstage Trailer
One upcoming game I’m very excited for is Contrast, the 3D/2D platformer from Compulsion Games and Focus Home Interactive. I got to play Contrast back in August and really enjoyed the hybrid platforming mechanics. What I like even more, though, is the game’s atmosphere. At a time when video games are constantly under fire for depicting females in a disrespectful light, Contrast unabashedly explores a burlesque world. Beneath the showy costumes and admittedly nifty shadow-light platforming mechanic, the game tells the story of Didi, a troubled young girl who gets through tough times with the aid of her imaginary friend, Dawn.
Contrast will be available mid-November on PlayStation Network. Who else is ready for some platforming magic in a 1920s setting?
