Rumor: Vita Games Will Have Slight Discount On US PSN

With the Vita launching in two weeks one of the many questions people have been asking is whether versions of games on PSN will be cheaper than the retail counterpart. Thanks to a member of NeoGAF, it seems we might have an answer to that thanks to a kiosk at Best Buy.

As you can see digital versions are cheaper by prices ranging from $3 to $5, 10% off. For example Uncharted: Golden Abyss will run you $44.99 for a digital copy rather than the $49.99 for the boxed version. Games that are digital only are unaffected by this discount. We are also unsure if third party software will come at such a discount.

Do you think this is enough to get to you purchase games via PSN?

I guess that’s just the advantage of buying digital products. It reduces overheads for the business such as the cost of producing packaging, the disks, transport etc.
