Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown KO-ing PSN In 2012

If you’re a fan of Virtua Fighter 5, and you only own a PS3, then it’s doubtless that you’ve been more than slightly annoyed that the 360 version is the only console version of the two to include online multiplayer. Next year, that changes with the release of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown.
A digital release of what seems to be the latest version of VF5, Final Showdown is a complete overhaul of the base game, with new balancing, mechanics, animations, extra visual flair, and a veritable smorgasbord of new content. There’s a trailer below that does a far better job of showing you… well, nothing actually. It’s a showreel of all the characters in the game, 19 in all, so you can scream “oh, that guy” when you see Akira pop up.
So, there’s also new arenas and a whole host of collectible items to customise your fighter with. I bet bunny ears are in there somewhere, and I’m going to stick them on everybody. Human decency be damned. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown will be out at some point next year. Look for more news eventually.
