Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team announced

THQ seems intent on putting out smaller downloadable offerings before their big releases hit, so it seemed obvious that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine would be receiving something in a similar vein. So, imagine my utter lack of surprise today when THQ unveiled Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, a third person arcade style shooter. The long and short of it is you’re going to be taking control of one of 4 unique classes, each with different abilities, and you’ll likely be killing Orks with a buddy, as the game supports 2 player co-op play. In case you thought you misread that, I’ll repeat it. This game, with 4 playable classes, only supports 2 players. Maybe there’s a valid design reason for that, but I’m not holding my breath.

Of course, players who complete a portion of the game will unlock a shiny sword in Space Marine, so there’s that too. The game is scheduled to launch in July on PSN, for the price of $9.99. The debut trailer is below, and it certainly looks like a good amount of fun for the price.
