Thanks to reader Mariusz’s e-mail, I have learned that System 3 Software’s exclusive PSN racing game Ferrari: The Race Experience is experiencing some minor technical difficulties. Instead of releasing tomorrow, September 29th, the game will be releasing the following week, October 6th.

The issue that pushed the game ever closer to GT5′s launch came in the form of “putting in place a very special redemption code offer.” Owners of Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli and Ferrari Challenge Deluxe are entitled to a special purchase price of The Race Experience as a reward to their loyalty. Something broke in the system and it’s going to take System 3 a week to get it fixed.
The price? A modest €14.99/£11.99, or if you’re a loyal Ferrari game buyer, €12.99/£9.99.

I have Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, but after playing it for a bit it really wasn’t my thing. I do like the idea of giving owners of a previous version of a game the new one for a discount. Hopefully more companies follow suit.
Though I have to wonder, how exactly do they know if you own one of the previous games (since it’s a disc-based game)?
