Netflix Streaming Coming to PS3

Starting next month Netflix users who have a subscription will be able to stream movies straight to their PS3. This makes the PS3 the second console with this ability, the first being the XBOX 360. The only difference from the version on the 360 to the PS3 version is that you will not need a XBOX Live Gold subscription. With over 17,000 movies and TV show available for streaming, the PS3 just got better.

Initially, watching movies instantly streamed from Netflix via the PS3 system will be enabled by a free, instant streaming Blu-ray disc that is being made available to all Netflix members. The free instant streaming disc leverages Blu-ray’s BD-Liveâ„¢ technology to access the Internet and activate the Netflix user interface on the PS3 system, which must be online via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
