Everyone asking about PS3, that date will come very soon. I want it on the PS3 just as bad. we worked on the PC first (xbox shares systems)

So, I’d assume that the PSN version is likely to come roughly a month after the 360 version. Don’t worry, you’ll be playing the game soon enough, just not this week. We’ll keep you all posted as and when the game has a PS3 date. We have also contacted Ignition to see if there is a reason for the delay.

Has anyone played this on the iPhone?

The only real information in the magazine is that the game will not be exclusively move-based, and that the players will likely be divided when it comes to online play, so as to prevent unfair advantages either way.

We haven’t heard a peep about this game since E3 and Gamescom last year, but now information is slowly trickling in. SCEE has updated the game’s official site to include a new launch window, which when announced was Spring 2010, that is now set for some time between October and December this year. Hopefully it won’t get lost in the onslaught of holiday titles, as this was looking to be one of the better upcoming PSN releases. I hope that we hear more info on the game at E3 in June. A real date or just one month would be nice

Dead Nation – We can confirm that our PSN exclusive PS3 title is still in the development and progressing well. More info available “soon”!

Well it looks like the veil might soon be coming up on the title. TikGames/Creat Studios official Twitter has this little comment today:

Been getting a lot of Q’s from our fans about ESRB title: Wakeboarding HD and the video ( http://bit.ly/cLLiep ) We will have more news soon

That looks a lot like confirmation that the video is indeed their work. Hopefully “soon” means in the next few weeks.

A few weeks back we reported that a couple of Creat Studios games were leaked via ESRB ratings, one of them being titled Wakeboarding HD. I contacted Creat Studios about the footage and was told “No Comment.”

I guess we will have to wait a little longer to find out if this is Wakeboarding HD or not. My gut is certainly siding on the fact that this footage may be a little more than a rumor though.

What would a game like Rez HD sell for on PSN? $15? This is no indication that it’s happening, but we’re researching if its feasible.

Most people seemed to be alright with that price, while others were asking why PSN users would have to pay a $5 premium compared to 360 users (The game launched for 800 MSPT). It seems they would need to sell an insane amount of copies @ $9.99 to make a profit.

…After Sega’s cut etc. We’d have to sell a lot of copies to even break even, and we could always drop a price, but never raise it.
if we did it, it would not be a huge profit most likely and unfortunately we’re not big enough to do things for fun.
we dont wanna rip anyone off but we also dont wanna go bankrupt trying to appease the fanbase you know?

Well if they could release it on PSN with uncompressed audio, this could in fact be the definitive version of Rez. Don’t get your hopes up though as this is merely just them asking if there is interest, no plans to port the game over have been made at this time.

That was in the latest email from Sony. I would assume were are getting it Christmas week, but maybe they will surprise us this week.

We launched minis for PSP back in October but from the 17th December you will be able to enjoy these bite size games on your PS3 as well as your PSP. This firmware update allows the minis emulator to work on PS3 and we are working on getting the majority of the current minis ready for the PS3 from the 17th December.

If you buy a minis game from the 17th it will work on both platforms so if you have a PS3 and a PSP you will only need to buy it once and it will be available to download to your PS3 and your PSP.

If you have already bought a mini for PSP and want to get it on your PS3 as well, just go to your download list in the Store and download it again for free. The game will then work on your PS3 as well. Simple!

It is unknown at this time whether the games will be stretched to fit the PS3 screen. At worst we can expect a border like on the old Super GameBoy.

That isn’t the only thing coming with this newest firmware update.

This feature enables you to easily transfer all of your saved data from one PS3 to another. So if you decide to get a new PS3 you can make sure you don’t loose any of your existing content. Content such as games, game save data, and videos downloaded from PlayStation Network can be transferred to the new PS3 system and deleted from the current PS3. Other content, including personal media files (photos, music, videos), can be copied onto the new PS3 and remain on the current PS3 system.

Just a little thing I noticed with the minis. It seems that the hooks for all this playback on the PS3 are already on systems. Kahoots, a game released 2 weeks ago, can be booted on PS3 currently on 3.10. The only problem is that you are met with an error message. All other minis titles will not even boot, they will only allow the owner to copy over to a PSP.

Earlier today Scrawlfx did some snooping on PlayStation UK’s website and found these images:

First we can see that there is a Facebook icon under the Network tab on the XMB. The text reads: “Adjust settings for features in Facebook. These features are available only for users who have Facebook accounts.” So it seems that you will be able to have your PSN id integrated with Facebook. This DOES NOT look to be a stand-alone application, like on the 360.

Next we see there is a new way to organize photos. I am sure this will be useful for those of you that have images saved on your PS3.

Lastly it looks like you will be able to spruce up your gamer card. Adding color will hopefully quiet the complains of those that were whining about the new friends list set-up.

I would expect to see a blog post on the PlayStation blog sometime this week or next confirming the features.

Last week SCEE PSN Store Manager Mike Kebby twitted about something special coming this week. Jump forward to today when NeoGAF user nny posts a snippet from what seems to be an email stating that Vagrant Story has been rated by both PEGI and the OFLC. The image also contains the following text:

Way back at the dawn of time (better known as the year 2000), a certain video games company called SQUARE made a game called VAGRANT STORY, which stormed the charts, became a genre-defining classic and, amongst other things, garnered a perfect score from Famitsu magazine – so pretty much business as usual for character design god Akihiko Yoshida. But the great news is that SQUARE ENIX are bringing it to the PS3 and PSP on the 12th November!

At this time neither rating board’s website has the game listed. So hopefully the PlayStation Blog can confirm this later in the week.
