Aside from saving people the trouble of importing Japanese PSN cards, I just don't see the point. It's a shame too, because something like the PSN would be a great avenue to localize games that didn't make it over here back in the PS1 days. I'd be willing to pay a premium price ($15-$20) for a chance to play some Japanese PS1 games in English, even if it's nothing but subtitles for the most part.
